Tai Chi (taiji) Partner exercises
These exercises, which are carried out with a partner, help to test one's centering and Chi. The chi will grow when the meridian system becomes more open and the movements are done correctly. Chi is used to push the partner.
The Original Yang Style has six different sorts of T'ui Shou:
- Single Pushhands (with one hand)
- Double Pushhands Big Circle (with two hands)
- Double Pushhands Small Circle (with two hands)
- Ta Lu
- Ta Lu Form
- Free Pushhands: One can use all movements from the solo-form, the sword-form, and the sabre-form.
