The oldest son of Chien Hou. In temperament he was more like his Uncle Pan-hou, from whom he learned fighting and push hands more than anything else. He started training at 7; later he not only fought a lot, he also loved to fight, which brought him fame but also cost him many pupils (at that time the Yang family's main source of income).
